The painting is from the Rijksmuseum collection in Amsterdam. It is called Woodland Pond at Sunset and painted by Gerard Bilders, circa 1862. The Rijksmuseum is digitizing their collections and is generously sharing the images non-copyrighted items with the world. Most of their collected art was produced before copyright laws. Other museums are doing the same. It’s a boon for designers and photo compositers like me. The girl with the umbrella is from Pixabay, and she originally stood next to a huge, recumbant Highlander steer. I used a Photo Filter adjustment layer to match her to the color of the scene and added texture to mimic the canvas.
